When architects Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart & Stewart & Associates of Atlanta needed to specify a sealant for the joints granite panels inlaid into the glass curtainwall of a 21 story high rise in Atlanta, they chose Dow Coring 756 SMS because of its stain resistance. 

Dow Corning 790 and 791 were used on the exteriors of several Las Vegas hotel/casinos: Caesar’s Palace, Bellagio, and Mandaly Bay & Resort.

Completed in 1998, the Living Arts Performance Center has hosted the performances of many of the performing worlds hottest acts. The performance of its opening sealant act, on the other hand, was far from successful.  

Expansion joints at inside corners are difficult to make watertight. The solution: A hybrid sealant system which preserves the best properties of a high performance silicone but removes the shortcomings of liquid and mechanically applied materials. 

The original installation in the UMass Medical Employee Parking deck was a compression seal. Compression seals, ironically, suffer from compression-set (the failure of the rubber to recover after repeated compression cycles).
