September 11, 2009

SHAKOPEE, MN, August 31, 2009 -- The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) has awarded a LEED® Silver designation to the BASF Construction Chemicals - Building Systems headquarters and office/research complex located in Shakopee, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis. This is the first BASF building to earn LEED Certification and only the third building to earn LEED EB O&M certification in Minnesota.

Building Systems is a manufacturer of building products for the construction industry. They are currently involved in LEED certified projects around the country as well as in their own back yard. Most notably, they have provided solutions to the Minnesota Twins on their 2010 home, Target Field which is also hoping to obtain LEED certification.
